Thank you for considering Grand Circle Foundation as a beneficiary. Not only may leaving a legacy gift benefit you and your loved ones through tax benefits but you can designate it to help a school, a community or a country that you fell in love with in your travels. Previous bequests have funded scholarships in Tanzania, clean water, toilet and solar projects in Zimbabwe and the construction of needed classrooms. When you leave a legacy gift, you will know that your generosity is helping to make an enduring impact.
Bequests are one of the most common (and most simple) ways to leave a legacy gift, and the language can be as simple as adding a provision in your will or estate. Here are ways you can leave a bequest to Grand Circle Foundation:
Specific Bequest – Give the sum of $____ to Grand Circle Foundation.
Percentage Bequest – Give _____% of my estate to Grand Circle Foundation.
Residuary Bequest – Instruct that any remaining part of your estate be distributed to Grand Circle Foundation after distributions are made to family, friends, etc.
Contingent Bequest – Instruct that Grand Circle Foundation receive assets in the event that a beneficiary in your will is no longer living.
Sample bequest language:
I give and bequeath the sum of $ _____ (or __% of my estate) to Grand Circle Foundation to be used in support of its general philanthropic purposes (or designate a country or project you’d like to support).
If you would like to make a charitable bequest, our Federal Tax Exempt Number is 04-3175434.
Retirement Plans and Other Investments
An IRA, 401(K), 403(b) or another qualified retirement plan has tax benefits for accumulating assets, but at death they may be subject to income and estate taxes. To leave your IRA or other retirement plan to Grand Circle Foundation(either as primary or contingent beneficiary), contact your retirement plan company to request a change in beneficiary designation form.
The information on our planned giving page is for informational purposes only. As with any decision involving your financial or estate plans, we strongly advise you to seek the advice of your legal and or financial advisor for your estate planning.
Please let us know if you have included Grand Circle Foundation in your will, life insurance, or estate plans so that we may thank you for your generous commitment to create lasting change in the world.
We’d like to extend our gratitude to those who have already included us in their plans and hope that they enjoy many trips ahead before we receive their generous donations.
