Grand Circle Foundation (GCF) partners with Shake Hands With the World to provide additional support to the Duc Son Orphanage in Hue, Vietnam, also known as the Minh Tu Orphanage. GCF has funded projects at the orphanage since 2002, and was happy to collaborate with Shake Hands with World on a project to provide a sustainable revenue stream for Minh Tu, a mushroom farm.

Gregg & Caroline Marston, founders of Shake Hands With the World (SHWW) visited the Duc Son Orphanage in Hue, Vietnam in 2016. They were moved by what they saw and experienced and they wanted to find a way to give back. They decided to have sail bags manufactured by Vietnamese people needing work, sell the bags in the USA, then donate the full proceeds to the orphanage. These beautiful sail bags are hand sewn by a lovely couple in Saigon, Vietnam, providing them with meaningful work and much-needed income. Each bag is as unique as the sail from which it was made.

SHWW collaborates with local families and relies on established friendships to ensure the quality of the sail bags, the accountability of all donations, and the search for ways in which Shake Hands With the World can make a difference.

Since founded in 2016, SHWW continues to grow and support young people in Vietnam,  providing scholarships to students, and has recently begun a new partnership with an orphanage for disabled children.
