Carlos Fernando Sanmiguel School
Total donations: $16,038 | Partnership: 2022
This small school is located in the Flor del Pantano, a village belonging to the Amazon’s Indigenous Kichwa people.
This small community of 30 families sends it’s 20 children ranging in age from 5-12 to the Carlos Fenando Sanminguel school where the children will not only gain a traditional education but will also learn about their Kichwa culture.
We’ve supported the community’s request to construct and furnish a room that can be used as a dining room for the school children during the day and a community meeting area at other times.
With water a source of concern, we funded the digging of a well, along with the installation of a water tower and tank and piping to the kitchen and bathrooms.

And since children need somewhere to have fun, a generous donation provided the necessary funds to purchase playground equipment.
