Na Ga Long Primary School in Thailand gets spruced up
Tucked away in a rural community in Thailand, Na Ga Long Primary School is a small school with a powerful spirit and big hopes for its children. The school welcomes 72 young students, ages 4 to 12, who come each day to learn, play, and grow under the care of 7 dedicated teachers and 3 staff members. As part of the THI (Discover Thailand) program, we visit this school.
For these children, school is more than a place for lessons. It is where friendships begin, confidence grows, and dreams quietly take shape. A clean, safe, and welcoming environment can make every school day feel brighter and more meaningful. This project was created with that purpose in mind: to improve the school landscape through tree planting and playground repainting, turning simple acts of care into lasting joy for the students and community.
Each tree planted and each brushstroke of color became part of a bigger story—a story of people coming together to create a greener, safer, and more inspiring place where children can learn, laugh, and feel proud of their school.
On 18 July 2026, we returned with another heartfelt community service project: “Creating a Greener and Safer School Environment.” A total of 18 TELs and 4 associates came together with warm hearts and willing hands. Some planted trees, some painted playground equipment, and everyone contributed to making the school feel brighter, safer, and more cared for.
Project Activities That Created Lasting Change
- Planting Trees for Shade, Care, and a Greener Future
- Planted shade trees and decorative plants around the playground and school grounds to create a greener and more welcoming environment.
- Brought students, teachers, parents, TELs, and associates together in a shared hands-on activity filled with teamwork and care.
- Encouraged students to understand the value of environmental conservation and the importance of caring for the trees as they grow.
- Repainting the Playground with Color, Safety, and Joy
- Repainted playground equipment with bright, child-friendly colors to make the space more cheerful and inviting.
- Improved the playground’s appearance and helped create a safer, more enjoyable place for children to play each day.
A Lasting Impact on the Children, School, and Community
- A greener, warmer, and more welcoming school environment that students can feel proud of.
- Improved outdoor comfort with more shaded areas for learning, activities, and daily gathering.
- A refreshed playground that brings more color, safety, and happiness to the children’s school days.
- Stronger community participation through teamwork among villagers, teachers, students, TELs, associates, and the Grand Circle Corporation team.
- Greater student pride and environmental awareness as children experience the value of caring for their shared space.
In June 2026, the Grand Circle Foundation helped turn an important school need into a meaningful and lasting improvement. Before the roof structure was built, the activity ground was often affected by the weather. On hot days, children gathered under the strong sun. On rainy days, activities could be interrupted or cancelled. Yet this area has always been the heart of student life—a place where children learn, play, gather, and connect with visiting travelers. With the support of the Grand Circle Foundation, a roof structure was constructed to cover the activity ground, giving the school a safer and more reliable space for learning, student engagement, and meaningful community interaction.
This shaded area may look simple, but its impact is deeply meaningful. It gives children a safer place to gather each day and allows teachers and visitors to continue activities even when the weather changes. Most importantly, it sends a powerful message to the students: their comfort, education, and happiness matter. During the community service day, we also formally handed over the GCF project to the teachers and students, marking an important moment of gratitude, pride, and shared achievement.
What made this project truly special was not only the visible change around the school, but the spirit behind it. Villagers, teachers, students, TELs, associates, and the Grand Circle Corporation team worked side by side, sharing smiles, effort, and a common purpose. As new trees were placed into the soil and bright colors returned to the playground, the school became more than a learning space—it became a symbol of care, connection, and hope for the children of Na Ga Long.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful journey—helping create brighter school days, stronger community connections, and lasting memories that will continue to touch the children of Na Ga Long Primary School for years to come.
