In March, Harriet Lewis and O.A.T. Trip Experience Leaders visited Minh Tu Orphanage in Vietnam, where Grand Circle Foundation has supported projects for more than 20 years.

It was a true honor and a moment of immense joy for us to welcome Mrs. Harriet and her friends to our region, especially to Minh Tu Orphanage—a Grand Circle Foundation (GCF) site in Vietnam.

“It was the happiest day of my life when we met Ms. Harriet Lewis—the founder of Grand Circle Corporation and the Grand Circle Foundation, along with her dear friends. GCF has supported us for over 20 years, bringing hope and a better life to the children in our care,” shared Nun Minh Tu, with heartfelt gratitude.

March 11, 2025, was a special day at Minh Tu Orphanage. We celebrated the birthdays of 80 orphans, joined by O.A.T. travelers, our office team, volunteers and the local villagers. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and touching moments as we saw the children truly enjoying their time with us.

The atmosphere was emotionally charged as our travelers took in the incredible achievements Minh Tu Orphanage has made possible with GCF’s unwavering support. They listened attentively as Mrs. Harriet and [her friend and fellow philanthropist] Gregg shared powerful stories, reflecting on the Foundation’s mission and its global impact. The travelers asked thoughtful questions and expressed deep appreciation for the life-changing work GCF has done around the world.

After a 20-year partnership, Nun Minh Tu finally had the opportunity to show Harriet around the orphanage.

Nun Minh Tu was overjoyed to showcase the many projects that GCF’s generosity has made possible—the dormitories, kitchen, classrooms, swimming pool, and every corner of the orphanage that has become a sanctuary for so many children. Her gratitude was immeasurable, knowing that without GCF’s support, these children wouldn’t have the chance to live, learn, and grow into their bright futures.

Harriet enjoyed playing and celebrating with the children during the orphanage’s annual birthday celebration.

The highlight of the visit was singing “Happy Birthday,” sharing laughter, and cutting the birthday cakes. The children’s eyes shone with happiness, knowing they were surrounded by love and care. Nun Minh Tu and the children were deeply thankful to Mrs. Harriet Lewis and GCF for providing them with life-changing opportunities. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Nun Minh Tu and the children for their warm hospitality, welcoming our group, and allowing us to witness firsthand how they are nurtured and how their dreams are being built.

In a touching moment, Harriet offered her bracelet to a blind child.

One of the most emotional moments of the visit occurred when Harriet visited the room for disabled children. She spent time playing and talking with the kids, especially with a blind boy who reached out to touch Harriet’s hand. He played with her bracelet, enjoying the moment with all his heart. Moved by the moment, Harriet gently removed her bracelet and placed it in his hand, with deep affection and love.

Once again, thank you so much for your support in changing lives.
