"It was amazing how well the schoolchildren spoke English. They answered our questions when we asked them how well they could read the books. They made puzzles and were eager to learn more English from us. The teachers are doing a great job at teaching the kids."

When 6-time travelers and Inner Circle travelers Jim and Audrey Harris of Fort Myers, Florida, visited the children at the Krorvan Primary School in Cambodia, they were so moved by the beauty and energy of these kids that they asked the principal what the children needed most. They were told that many of the children were in dire need of a bicycle to help them travel the long distance to and from school.
So, the Harrises promptly visited a local bike shop and delivered a bike to the school. Still, they wished they could do more. Upon the couple's return home, Jim motivated his local Rotary Club, an international organization committed to education, to donate enough funds to purchase 120 bikes for the Krorvan children. OAT's Cambodia Area Manager, Van Eng Leang, was instrumental in arranging the logistics for purchasing and delivering the bicycles. OAT travelers were thrilled to be part of the celebration when Mr. Harris and a fellow Rotarian traveled to Krorvan to officially hand over their gifts to the children.
Grand Circle Foundation has also done its part, donating funds totaling $26,080 toward teacher training and building enhancements, including the addition of two classrooms, a library, and new bathroom facilities.
